Our History

Cricket has been played in Norelands since 1829. The more recent history of the club originates with the McCalmont family who owned Mount Juliet and were most supportive of cricket over more than three generations whilst they owned the property.
The club has played many matches against its local rivals as well as touring teams from as far as Australia and South Africa. Over the years many famous and not so famous cricketers have played or visited including Basil D'Oliveira and Middlesex County Cricket Club including Angus Fraser, Andrew Strauss and Irelands Ed Joyce
